When I visited San Sebastian, Gandarias was the first bar I stopped at.
This place is famous not only in Spain but also in Japanese books and international gourmet guides.
I highly recommend their fish pintxos.
Compared to other places, every dish I tried here was delicious, and I felt that Gandarias is a pintxos bar with overall excellence.
During my visit in January 2020, Gandarias was also the fourth bar I went to.
The staff at the pension also recommended it to me.
One of the popular dishes is the Changlo, a crab tart.
The counter was filled with various pintxos, and it was hard to choose, but I quickly placed my order and secured a seat.
The staff was very friendly and made me feel warm.
     The food was truly delicious.
There is also a restaurant adjacent to Gandarias where you can try various dishes.
Gandarias is frequently featured in guidebooks and is one of the most popular bars.
They have a menu exclusively for the evening, so there are dishes that you cannot order during the day.
I visited right after they opened at 11:00, but almost all the table seats were already taken.
The counter was filled with a wide variety of pintxos, so I ordered a drink first.
With a beer in hand, I chose the crab miso tart.
It was reheated before being served, and the outside was crispy while the inside had a moist texture, and it was delicious! The filet steak was also tender and tasty.
I found out that they also sell oysters, so I ordered six of them.
Eating oysters and enjoying drinks during the day helped rejuvenate me.
Gandarias is a bar located in the old town of San Sebastian and has a typical atmosphere.
The counter is filled with numerous pintxos, and the menu on the blackboard is also extensive.
I first ordered the recommended prosciutto from the waiter, an older gentleman.
Afterwards, I tried the mushroom pintxos and beef pintxos.
I'm satisfied to have been able to taste them in the bustling atmosphere.
In particular, the beef was tender and delicious.
The same owner also operates a restaurant that serves delicious steaks and is popular.
Gandarias is an aging bar located right next to the Santa Maria Church.
The interior has a quiet atmosphere and exudes a traditional feel.
The pintxos, such as the Clara beer mixer, seafood tomato stew baguette, and baked cheese baguette with a sweet sauce, are above average in quality.
The combination of shrimp and tomato and the baked cheese with the sweet sauce are especially delicious and perfect for enjoying while strolling and eating.
Gandarias is a highly popular restaurant in San Sebastian, known for its cuisine and chefs.
You can enjoy specialty dishes and innovative menus.
Their attention to ingredients and meticulous cooking techniques are also noteworthy, making it worth a visit.
